Dr. Sarah Gottschalk is a graduate of Cornell University who came back to her home state of New York after many years in California to take a job in Urgent Care with the VMC. She is invested in the evolving role of veterinary urgent care, aiming to bridge the gap between emergency care, primary care veterinarians, and specialty services.
Her medical interests are diverse, with a particular focus on feline medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology. Dr. Gottschalk is an active member the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Association, and the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, through which she holds the certification “Cat Friendly Veterinarian”.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Gottschalk enjoys hiking, playing classical violin, and embroidery. She lives in the Syracuse area with her husband, two tiny dogs, and a Siamese-ish cat.
