Dr. Patton grew up in Plymouth, Michigan, and earned her undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University in Marquette along the shoreline of Lake Superior. Before and during veterinary school, she worked as a technician in a fast-paced emergency clinic, where she cultivated her passion for emergency medicine. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University and completed a rotating small animal internship at Cornell University, gaining a strong foundation in emergency and critical care medicine.
During her training in New York, Dr. Patton met her fiancé and decided to make the area her home. She now enjoys country life surrounded by her four dogs—two clever Border Collies, a gentle Great Pyrenees, and her happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever. With a special appreciation for the intelligence and heart of working dogs, she loves being part of their care both in and out of the clinic.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Patton is an avid Detroit Lions fan who loves cooking, spending time outdoors, and enjoying the simple things—like summer days in northern Michigan and crisp fall evenings at home with her family and dogs.
