Dr. Cudney grew up in Central New York and attended Le Moyne College on academic and NCAA scholarships. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology as well as an Integral Honors Degree. While at LeMoyne, she was Captain of her cross-country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track Teams. She then attended the University of Wisconsin Madison for veterinary school and returned home to work at the Veterinary Medical Center as an emergency doctor. Prior to and during vet school, Dr. Cudney worked at VMC as a veterinary assistant and as a seasonal zookeeper with Humboldt Penguins. She lives with her significant other, Ted, and their two very special cats, Tater Tot and Bernie. Dr. Cudney has run multiple marathons and ultra marathons, including a 50-mile trail race, and hopes to complete a 100-mile ultra one day. In 2022, she became a living kidney donor and is a member of the Kidney Donor Athletes organization. She is loving being back in the Central New York area and is working on completing the 46 Adirondack high peaks with her dad with most of their hikes taking place during the winter.
