Dr. Jensen was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida. She had many animals growing up from snakes, iguanas, and turtles, to hamsters, parrots, cats, and dogs. When she was 7 years old her dog became ill, and she learned there was a doctor just for animals. She knew that day she would be a veterinarian. She was a competitive soccer player, swimmer, singer and actress, and plays the piano and guitar.

Dr. Jensen earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and then attended the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. There she earned an additional certificate in food animal medicine with an emphasis on swine. She also discovered her love for ER medicine and completed additional training. She enjoys the fast pace and unpredictability of emergency medicine and values helping people and their pets in their time of need.

She met her husband in Florida where he was stationed with the US Navy. After his honorable discharge, they moved to his hometown of Baldwinsville where they share their life with their daughter and a collection of animal misfits.
